impact.
2. Scope
This policy applies to all employees and business activities of Celtic Chemicals Ltd, including the
manufacture, processing, storage, and trading of mineral and metal salts.

We are committed to preventing pollution, protecting natural resources, and continually improving
our environmental performance as an integral part of our business strategy and risk management
approach.
As a manufacturer, processor, and trader of mineral and metal salts, we are dedicated to “protecting

3.1. Our Environmental Commitments
3.1.1. Legal Compliance and Beyond
- Comply with all applicable environmental laws, regulations, permits, and codes of practice.
- Maintain systems to identify, evaluate, and monitor compliance obligations.
- Seek to go beyond minimum legal compliance where practicable to reduce environmental risk and impact.
3.1.2. Pollution Prevention and Environmental Protection
- Prevent pollution through effective operational controls, spill prevention measures, and emergency response arrangements.
- Minimise emissions to air, land, and water arising from our activities.
- Investigate environmental incidents and near misses and implement corrective and preventive actions.
3.1.3. Energy, Climate, and Resource Efficiency
- Reduce energy consumption and improve energy efficiency across operations.
- Monitor energy use and energy intensity through defined KPIs.
- Establish baselines and targets to support the reduction of GHG emissions in line with business capability and data maturity.
3.1.4. Water and Waste Management
- Use water responsibly and seek opportunities to reduce consumption where feasible.
- Minimise waste generation at source, with particular focus on hazardous waste.
- Promote segregation, reuse, recycling, and responsible disposal through approved contractors.

- Integrate environmental considerations into R&D activities, new product development, process changes, and equipment installation.
- Assess environmental impacts, including waste, emissions, and resource use, prior to implementation of significant changes.
3.1.6. Objectives, Targets, and Performance Monitoring
- Set SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) environmental objectives and targets.
- Monitor performance through Environmental KPIs, including energy intensity, waste generation, and environmental incidents.
- Review progress regularly through internal reporting and Management Review.
3.1.7. Awareness, Training, and Engagement
- Provide appropriate environmental awareness and role-specific training to employees.
- Encourage employee involvement in identifying opportunities for environmental improvement.
- Communicate environmental expectations clearly across the organisation.
3.2. Roles and Responsibilities
Senior Management is responsible for providing leadership, resources, and oversight to ensure the
effective implementation of this policy.
The Quality Manager is responsible for coordinating environmental management activities, KPI
monitoring, and reporting.
All employees are responsible for:
- Complying with environmental procedures and controls;
- Reporting environmental incidents, near misses, and improvement opportunities;
- Supporting the achievement of environmental objectives.
3.3. Monitoring, Review, and Communication
- The effectiveness of this policy and the Environmental Management System is monitored through KPIs, audits, and management reviews.
- The policy is reviewed at least every two years or following significant organisational or regulatory change.
- This policy is communicated internally and made available to relevant external stakeholders.
