At Celtic Chemicals, our production of microelements is designed to meet the highest standards of purity, traceability, and regulatory compliance. Manufactured at our Port Talbot facility, all products are produced under full FSSC 22000 and HACCP systems, ensuring consistent quality and safety. We also offer low minimum order quantities, making it easier for customers to manage shelf life and label claims. Our range includes essential elements such as Chromium, Molybdenum, and Selenium, supplied in grades suitable for a variety of applications. FCC-compliant options are available where required.

Human Nutrition

Chromium, Molybdenum & Selenium from Celtic Chemicals

Celtic Chemicals supplies a targeted range of micro elements for human nutrition, manufactured in Port Talbot under full FSSC 22000 and HACCP frameworks. Each material is selected for its relevance to EU Regulation (EC) 1925/2006, Annex II, and is available from as little as 1 kg to support flexibility in formulation and stock control. Additional micro elements, produced by FSSC-approved partners and held in stock, are available on request.

Formulating with micro elements can be difficult due to the very low dosing required to meet recommended daily allowances (For example – Selenium recommended daily intake is 75 micrograms, source – nhs.co.uk).

To assist our customers with the use of these products Celtic offers an extensive range of micro elements triturated / blended onto carriers to homogenize the dispersion into their formulations.
